Bracken to retire

RUGBY World Cup winner Kyran Bracken has announced his retirement from the England international set up.

Bracken, who considers himself a Jerseyman and whose family live in the Island, told the JEP today that he was retiring from the international scene.

The Saracens scrum-half was not called up for the current Six Nations campaign and has already said he will retire from club rugby at the end of next season.The player, who is in the Island this week, was part of Sir Clive Woodward’s victorious squad that won the Rugby World Cup in Australia last November and was also made an MBE as a result.Full report in tomorrow’s JEP.
