JERSEY students could lose out on British university places to candidates from the European Union.
An increase of at least three times the current level of EU students taking up places at British universities is expected to begin from this September.Tuition feeIt is thought that between 20,000 and 30,000 undergraduates will travel to Britain for further education from the 14 existing EU states when the £1,150 tuition fee is abolished in 2006, but a ‘considerable’ influx of students is likely this September.
