THE Jersey Secondary Schools’ Sports Association have announced their 16-player squad to represent Jersey in the under-15s’ Star Trophy against Guernsey on Saturday week.

Weekend sport in brief
SHOOTING: David Turner won the Cobo Open shooting competition in Guernsey at the weekend, beating Guernseyman Jamie Cirigliano into second place.
Ian Heads from Southampton was third.
Last year’s winner, Jersey’s Scott Douglas, had a disappointing weekend, with rifle trouble among his problems.
He finished fifth.

FOLLOWING a week when professional football’s reputation plumbed new depths, Jersey’s 4-0 Muratti semi-final victory in Alderney on Saturday provided welcome relief.
