KYLIE MINOGUE and Robbie Williams could be coming to Jersey this summer to star in a major Saturday night ITV show to be filmed in the Island.
The JEP has learned that the show, to be named Simply the Best, will be broadcast for two hours on a weekly basis.It is understood that negotiations have been taking place with Phil Tufnell and Kirsty Gallacher to co-host the show, and Tom Jones could be another top name to feature.
The show will be recorded at a specially constructed studio on the St Helier waterfront.
It is believed to have a Gladiators/It’s A Knock-Out-type format and will feature teams from a number of cities around the UK.
Each team will be made up of members of the public plus two celebrities.The show will be the biggest boost to the Island’s tourism industry since the TV series Bergerac ended 13 years ago.
The Island’s profile as a destination will be hugely enhanced by such massive television exposure.
