HUGGLER Print has just completed a major investment programme amounting to half a million pounds worth of new technology.
The firm has just taken delivery of a Heidelberg Speedmaster 524 colour press, which will produce printed materials faster and to a higher standard of quality.

The quality is unbelievable,’ said manager Guy Le Goff.
‘All the variables and ink controls are regulated from a central consul and you can make adjustments as small as a hundredth of a millimetre.
And everything is so clean.
Last year a new ‘direct to plate’ system was installed, doing away with the need for film.
And a new booklet-making production line has fully automated the collation, stapling and trimming process.
r Le Goff said: ‘We decided a year ago that we had to have the right technology.
Everybody wants colour, they want it fast, and they want it cheap.
We were in a position to take things forward and as far as we know no one else in Jersey has anything like this.
Huggler currently employ around 20 staff at their Rue de Près factory, but the business has been around for over 60 years.
The firm started out as a supplier of accounting stationery for all UK newsagents - a contract that still continues today.

But Mr Le Goff said that a significant amount of work was being lost to firms in the UK, particularly through the advertising agencies.
With this state-of-the-art technology there is no reason why we shouldn’t produce these things locally, and at a competitive price,’ he said.
