ITV have confirmed a new two-hour Saturday night entertainment show called Simply the Best is to be filmed in the Island.
As revealed exclusively by the JEP earlier this month, the commercial network has today confirmed the programme is its largest entertainment commission for 2004.A purpose-built 1,000-seater-plus arena is to be erected on the St Helier Waterfront adjacent to Jardins de la Mer for the filming.
The series is designed to be prime-time family viewing and is expected to attract large audiences.
Each week two teams from major UK cities, consisting of members of the public plus celebrities, will take part in games of strength, stamina and dexterity to determine which city is Simply The Best.
