ROZEL Rovers have been relegated from Flybe.
Combination Division I after losing to First Tower last night.
They were beaten at Le Couvent 1-0 and now face playing Second Division football next season.
The result also means that St Peter are safe from relegation. In a match which saw Tower dominate but struggle to finish, John Rutter scored the only goal after 62 minutes to send Rozel down.Although Rovers put some passes together, they were unable to capitalise, but it was the same story for Tower, who were unable to finish in front of goal.Rovers assistant manager Kevin Ganley said: ‘On the night the best team won but we tried very hard and knocked the ball round well.’We’re very disappointed at being relegated but we have a young side - three under-18s played last night - and we can go down to the Second Division and have a good season and bounce back a year older, a year wiser.’Tower manager Dave Philpott said: ‘The first half was frantic and the surface wasn’t very good, but we played a lot better in the second half.
‘They didn’t really get many chances, but unfortunately it was the story of our season in front of goal.’
