OVER 1,000 people set off on a 48-mile trek around the Island on Saturday and raised more than £100,000 between them.
Of the 1,074 people who started out on the Itex Walk just before 3 am on Saturday, 600 completed the full 48.1 miles.
Walk organiser Paul Marett said it had been a great day and more people than ever before had lasted the entirety of the course.
