AN historic decision was made by Jersey’s politicians yesterday which will enable the Island, for the first time, to negotiate on its own behalf on the international stage.
Politicians approved two model agreements that will form the basis of tax negotiations between Jersey and the 25 European Union countries.
The agreements are the outcome of months of talks between senior politicians, chief officers and advisers from Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man and authorities in the United Kingdom and European Union.
