TWO brave Islanders plucked three panicking visitors off rocks yesterday after they were cut off by the rising tide.
Paul Le Gresley and Andy Hodges dashed to the water’s edge at around 6.40 pm after hearing screams at Havre des Pas.
They saw the adult and two children stranded on rocks and waded out.
Mr Le Gresley, who was working at La Plage Hotel, said: ‘I heard them and then I saw another guy running along the rocks to see what was going on.
I saw there were three of them on the rocks, a grandfather and two children.
They were about 100 yards away and screaming.’ He said that they carried the family back to safety and left them in the care of the Fire Service, who had responded to a 999 call from another concerned onlooker.
The Fire Service launched its inshore lifeboat and were there in minutes.
