INSURANCE broker Alexander Forbes has bought the Channel Islands business Marsh.
The Union Street-based company has acquired Marsh Employee Benefits Services for an undisclosed sum.
All seven Jersey-based staff at Marsh and the company’s single employee in Guernsey will transfer to its new owner in the islands.
This bring the total number of staff at Alexander Forbes locally to over 60.
Trevor Gray, managing director of Alexander Forbes in the Channel Islands, said: ‘This acquisition fits perfectly with our ongoing growth strategy to expand our international business.
The team joining us from Marsh brings in-depth experience of commercial insurance and financial advice and a number of high-quality accounts.
