THE Lido de France could become a primary care medical centre.
If Planning agree, the entertainment and sports complex will be transformed into a purpose-built centre housing up to 20 GPs as well as a dental practice, pharmacy and physiotherapy facility.
The current building will also be reduced in size and redesigned to complement the surrounding area.
The application to Planning has been made by the centre’s owners, the nearby Hotel de France.
They hope that, if plans are approved, building work will dovetail into the current refurbishment of the hotel’s north wing, which was destroyed by fire in 2002.
