THE police are trying to find out how a woman found lying by her front door sustained a fractured skull and a punctured lung.
It is thought the 54-year-old may have been the victim of a hit-and-run crash close to her home in Rouge Bouillon at around midnight on Friday.
Officers were called to the General Hospital yesterday to speak to the woman, whose memory is slowly coming back.
It is known that she was dropped off by a car at the bus pull-in outside the Norfolk Lodge Hotel and then started walking home towards Midvale Road.
