AN infestation of beetles is maddening residents of Clos de Roncier, who want help to get rid of it.
Every night swarms of the insects appear, invading homes, scurrying under kitchen appliances at an alarming speed and nestling under sheets and pillows.
A spokeswoman for the residents, Julie Herdman, said most mornings it was not unusual to find a pile of dead beetles outside her front door, and it was the same for her neighbours.
Mrs Herdman told her sorry tale to the JEP this morning, at one point pausing to crush a beetle under foot.
