Police employees to face a tribunal

THREE States police employees alleged to have stolen computer equipment from the Rouge Bouillon headquarters are to face an employment tribunal.

All face accusations of gross misconduct at hearings due to begin on 9 August.

Police investigations into the alleged theft are ongoing, but none of the three has been charged with any criminal offences.

They were suspended from duty in October last year and have been on full pay since.

Mick Pinel, the chief executive of the States Human Resources department, which employs the three, confirmed that there would be three separate hearings for each of the three people involved.

He said that the hearings would be chaired by the police chief, Graham Power, and the employee relations director, Mark Littler.

The three accused will be represented by the Civil Service Association.
