A NEW business has taken the leap and dropped into Jersey.
Skydive Jersey is the Island’s first permanent sports parachuting and training centre.
Recently awarded a licence by the Harbours and Airport Committee, the business will operate out of a portable cabin on the southern perimeter of the Airport, subject to planning approval, and be open for ten to 12 days a month, ten months a year.
The centre is managed by former chartered accountant Alun Griffiths and qualified tandem jump instructor and parachute rigger Eric Bazin-Laziou.
Its chief instructor is Andy Montriou, a veteran of around 4,000 skydives who has won medals at both national and world level for formation skydiving.
