Bankruptcy to be lifted?

FORMER billionaire Kevin Leech is likely to be discharged from bankruptcy later today.

The Viscount is taking a representation to the Royal Court for Mr Leech to be discharged early from bankruptcy after a settlement was reached with creditors.

He was declared en désastre in October 2002.

Usually a bankruptcy would last four years.

If today’s settlement is accepted, Mr Leech will be allowed to work again, although it will be probably be six months before he is completely discharged.

The Viscount is expected to ask for that period to allow administrators to finish off the settlement between the creditors.
