A 21-YEAR-OLD woman was allegedly indecently assaulted in New Street in the early hours of this morning.
The woman was walking home from the Weighbridge when she was approached by a stranger between the Tipsy Toad Town House in New Street and the telephone box at Caesarea Court.
He allegedly indecently assaulted her, and is believed to have followed her from New Street into Val Plaisant.
He then approached her again a few minutes later, but was scared off by two passers-by.
The man, described as a white European with a foreign accent, cycled off towards Great Union Road.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
