THE number of people registered as unemployed in Jersey has risen to 529.
Figures released this morning by the Employment and Social Security Department show a slight rise in the registered jobless total as of the end of July.
At the end of last month, 371 men and 158 women were out of work, compared to a total of 494 the previous month.
As in previous months, the Employment Department say that the majority of people who are unemployed are finding work within 13 weeks.
