ISLANDERS are having to claw back thousands of pounds through ABTA after the parent company of a Jersey travel agent went into receivership.
The Isle of Man-based Legends Leisure, which owned Skyline Travel in Don Road, told staff of the collapse on Wednesday last week.
Legends also owned the Off-shore Cruise Club, whose cruises were sold by Skyline.
Skyline is now under new ownership and has remained open.
A spokesman for ABTA said this morning that they were dealing with hundreds of inquiries from worried Legends customers from all over the country.
He said that those people who had already been issued with tickets would have their bookings honoured.
