Women’s hockey: RWB hat-trick in CI final

JERSEY’S RWB made it three in a row on Saturday when they beat Guernsey Panthers 1-0 to retain their title as CI Ladies Hockey Club champions.

U18s fight back to beat Army

JERSEY under-18s overturned a one-goal half-time deficit to beat their Army counterparts 2-1 at Springfield in the Mike Parry Cup on Saturday.

Weekend sport in brief

RUGBY: Jersey United Banks beat Beeches OB 34-33 in the JRA/Emeraude Lines League yesterday while Jersey 2nds had a comprehensive 96-12 win against Guernsey’s St Jacques.

The youngsters from the Jersey Rugby Academy played in Richmond where the U10s drew their first game 5-5 against Dorking and won against Richmond and Effingham 20-0 and 50-0 respectively.

The U11s found the going tougher, finishing with a 0-0 draw against Effingham, and losing 25-5 to Richmond and 5-0 to Richmond B.
