A FULL government investigation is to be launched into whether Jersey should move to European time.
After years of discussion and opinion on the matter, Chief Minister Frank Walker has said he will instigate an inquiry, to canvass the views of Tourism, the finance and agriculture industries and members of the public.
If accepted, it would mean that when the clocks traditionally go forward in March, they would jump two hours instead of one.
Similarly, when the clocks go back in October they would move two hours, to bring the Island’s winter time in line with the UK.
