Ex-Seigneur buys Wolves for a tenner

THE former Seigneur of Trinity, Steve Morgan, has struck a deal to buy Wolverhampton Wanderers FC - for just £10.

Three years ago Mr Morgan unsuccessfully tried to buy Liverpool FC, but yesterday it was announced that chairman Sir Jack Hayward had agreed to sell Wolves to him. The sale of the club is expected to go through next month. The club said that Sir Jack agreed to sell all his shares in the Championship club for £10 on condition that Mr Morgan invests £30 million in Wolves. Manager Mick McCarthy has been assured that his job is safe while current chief executive Jez Moxey will also stay in post.
