AIR passengers flying from Jersey are likely to be able to carry two bags on to a plane from the end of March.
Currently passengers flying from the Island are restricted to carrying a single bag on to the aircraft because of security restrictions introduced after a number of terror alerts at UK airports last year.
Airport assistant director Steve Read was in London on Monday talking to security officials about what the Island has to do to allow passengers to carry more than one cabin bag.
He said: ‘We are currently seeking dispensation from the Department of Transport for passengers to carry two bags on board.’
