MORE people have contacted the national charity working with the States police on the child abuse inquiry since the discovery of a child’s remains at Haut de la Garenne.
The NSPCC set up a dedicated confidential helpline in London at the time that the States police announced their major inquiry in November.
Since then, they have received 63 calls from people from the Island, England, Thailand and other countries.
Of that number, 27 calls about specific concerns have been referred to the inquiry team.
Those phoning from the Island or the UK should call the NSPCC freephone 0800 169 1173, or from outside 0207 825 7489, charged at local rates.
The police inquiry team are available on 0800 735 7777.
