FORTY groups have had their bookings to stay at the Haut de la Garenne youth hostel cancelled.
The Youth Hostel Association have said that they are closing the venue as a hostel until at least the end of April as a result of the discovery of a child’s remains there at the weekend.
The association’s communications officer, Paul Fearn, said that they were in the process of putting something on their website to explain the situation to customers.
