A NEW service has been launched to help people who give evidence in court.
Its launch yesterday, at a time when more than 160 potential victims have contacted the police in the Haut de la Garenne child abuse inquiry, was described as ‘perfect timing’.
The remark was made by Anne Coughlan, head of the UK Witness Service Development, who was in the Island for the launch of the scheme at the Magistrate’s Court.
