THE Island’s bus service took top honours at the Jersey Enterprise Awards last night.
Connex, which has been running the service since it signed a seven-year deal with the States in 2003, was selected by judges as winner of the Play.com Large Business Award and the Jersey Telecom Overall Business Award.
The Jersey cow, together with the Royal Jersey Agricultural and Horticultural Society - which this year celebrates its 175th year in existence - also took centre stage as the chosen Guiton Ambassador of the Year.
And John and June Werrin, who for 24 years have been raising money for Jersey Hospice Care through their charity shop, were presented with the Garenne Group Community Award 2008.
Over 830 people attended the awards presentation and dinner at Fort Regent.
