Skatepark goes through at last

JERSEY will have a skatepark on the Waterfront by December, the States have agreed.

They voted 26 to 11 this week to force the Council of Ministers to build a permanent skatepark on the site of a warehouse on the New North Quay.

Their decision comes four years after Channel Islands skateboarders first approached the parish of St Helier about the possibility of a park for skaters, rollerbladers and BMX riders.
