Spence laps up success over challenging course at Corbi่re

FORMER Commonwealth Games rider Chris Spence showed his peer group a clear pair of heels to win the 15-lap Corbi่re race on Sunday morning.

With a fear of early morning congestion expected in St Peter’s Valley, race organisers Velo Sport Jersey moved the race to the Corbi่re circuit.

Because of a lack of Division I riders the class was combined with Division II and quickly the top riders pulled away from the slower riders with the exception of Dave Mayman who had an excellent race to finish third overall.

Spence finished having established a commanding lead over the chasing group with Adam Wojtkiewicz taking second.
