AN ISLANDER has spoken for the first time about his horrific accident which left him unable to walk or talk.
Three years ago, Daniel Moya-Vidal (29) underwent extensive brain surgery to repair his skull after he fell from a motorbike in Thailand and smashed his head on the roadside.
Because he was not wearing a helmet, almost half of his head had to be filled with titanium to repair the damage.
Extraordinarily, Daniel has pulled through and having learned to read, write and talk again, he is now beginning to realise his true academic potential and has returned to college as a mature student.
