Restaurant back with a new look

LA Capannina in Halkett Place is hoping to reopen this weekend with a new décor.

The restaurant, renowned for its classic Italian menu with a Jersey twist, has been closed since 29 March, following speculation about a rift between the partners of the business.

Tino Rossi, who has been at the restaurant for 42 years, has established a new company, Tino’s Ltd, and will continue to run the establishment. The name of the restaurant will not change.

Mr Rossi said that he wanted to make a clean break from the previous partnership. ‘At the end it became very sour,’ he said.
