Semi-final heartbreak

JERSEY’S dream of a first-ever English Schools Football Association’s cup final is over.

Reinstated into the Inter-Association Trophy along with Brighton because of Plymouth and Blackheath’s explusion, Brighton won a highly entertaining semi-final 3-2 at Springfield last night.

It was tough luck on Jersey as they played really well and apart from the final ten minutes when they pushed on in search of a third goal they had the better of the chances.
