JERSEY’S dairy farmers have more to unite than to divide them, says the chief executive of the Island’s breed association.
James Godfrey of the Royal Jersey Agricultural and Horticultural Society is preparing to host farmers from all over the world as part of the World Jersey Cattle Bureau Conference 2008 being held in the Island later this month.
Three hundred delegates will spend a week in the UK before arriving in Jersey on Sunday 18 May for a week-long series of excursions, farm tours and a visit to the Foire de Jersey. They will then spend a final week in France.
The Royal Jersey Agricultural and Horticultural Society are celebrating their 175th anniversary this year and chief executive James Godfrey said that they were delighted to host the conference.
