Concert organised to help Burma victims

yclone-1_4_cropped.jpgAN all-day music event is being held at the Waterfront to raise funds for Burma.

Bar Rock, which was formerly Chicago Rock Café, is organising the pop concert on Sunday 25 May, the day before the Bank Holiday.

Kicking off at 11 am it will feature a number of local bands and will be for Islanders of all ages until 9 pm and then for over 18s until 1 am.

Mark Cameron, the manager of the venue, said that he thought it was an important cause to raise money for.
‘After reading in Monday’s JEP that charity organisers in Jersey were asking for help to collect money for the people of Burma because of the devastating cyclone disaster, we wanted to do something to help,’ he said.
