United fans take the long way home

00563115_cropped.jpgTRIUMPHANT but weary Manchester United fans staggered through the Airport yesterday after an exhausting six-flight round-trip to Moscow to see their team win the ultimate prize in football.

Danny Bryan and five of his friends were in the stand behind the goal that became the scene for a dramatic ending to the Champions League Final between Chelsea and Manchester United on Wednesday night.

Danny’s group had front-row seats for the tense penalty shootout which saw Chelsea captain John Terry hit the post – when a goal would have won the game – and United’s Edwin Van Der Sar ultimately save from Nicolas Anelka to win the game for the Reds.

Well Done Man U and well done the supporters, their dedication to the greatest football team ever was well rewarded. I envy those travellers but I’m sure there will be other finals in the not to distant future featuring many of the present Man U players. Muckinfadjick!
