Romance is made easier for disabled

00570130_cropped.jpgA DATING agency is being set up in the Island to assist people with a learning disability to find romance.

The agency, which will be called Kindred Spirits and will be open to anyone aged 18 upwards with a learning disability, has been made possible by a £20,000, three-year donation from the directors of F Le Gallais and Sons.

The service, which is due to start in August, will be co-ordinated by 31 year-old David Harburn, who was born with cerebral palsy, and is well aware of the difficulties people with a learning disability face when trying to meet a partner.

The agency will match up men and women and also those looking for a same sex relationship.
