Pony Club show

0570541_cropped.jpgVETERAN pony Herbie Goes Bananas showed he had lost none of his sparkle at last weekend’s Pony Club show, helping his young rider, Serena Ruth, to gain the minimus trophy for most points accumulated over the two days.

The most successful grassroots rider was Jazmine Fenn on Mayrose Snow Queen, Timmy Clark took the senior award on Crittal Catalan and the junior award was shared between Laura Banks on Rapps the Way to Go and Lauren Phillips on Bracken Pizazz.

Classes were open to all ages and ability of rider and ranged from best turned out and style and performance to fun events such as ride and run and barrel jumping. There were also Pony Club pony classes with a course of obstacles, hazards and jumps designed to test each pony’s ability and obedience.

The show was held at the BSJA field at Mont Cochon and judges were Carly Pallot, Ann Picot, Angela Honeycombe, Renee Clough, Gillian Arthur, Margaret and Peter Pichler and Tess Phillips.
