Sport from the Jersey Evening Post

All Saints day!

00571241_cropped.jpgHOLDERS St Helier Rugby Football Club will defend the JEP ‘Brighter’ Cricket KO Cup against St Ouen in the final at Grainville on Tuesday evening.

Both sides won their respective semi-finals last night, Division II St Helier by 53 runs against Division I Pentagon at Grainville while St Ouen came home by 14 runs in an all-Division I affair at FB1 against Hautlians.

It will be somewhat a strange experience next week for St Helier’s Dean Morrison and Hugo Bishop as they know their opponents well as they both play for St Ouen in the NatWest Weekend League.

The pair were again in good form with the bat last night with 34 and 41 respectively before both were dismissed by Ian Crocker who went on to claim three wickets for 24 runs in his three-over spell.
