The event was held at the Hotel Ambassadeur on Friday night and saw students arriving in vintage cars, open top sports cars and even an army truck. The night included a five course meal and the chance to have a dance.

The young people also nominated their fellow students for their own Oscar awards on the night.Prizes included Best Dressed, which was awarded to Danielle Volante in a floor length pink satin gown and a special award for Francesca Davies for her invaluable contribution to the organisation of the ball.

The ball was coordinated by Heidi Stevenson, Beaulieu’s assistant head teacher with responsibility for teaching and learning. She said that the evening ‘was both a celebration of the end of a busy period of revision and exams and also a goodbye to some students who are taking on new courses and challenges in September’.
