Transport and Technical Services have announced that they are increasing buses on some routes by over 70 per cent.

Rush-hour relief services and school buses will be added to existing services, which will create eight extra morning buses. It is hoped that the increase in services, during the commuter peak period, will mean bus passengers will not need to stand on journeys.

Transport Minister Guy de Faye said: ‘As part of the agreement to extend the contract with Connex to 2012, Connex undertook to regularise a number of services which are currently run as reliefs in the scheduled network.
