Liberation lines up for a libation

00572169_cropped.jpgTHE company that secured the purchase of the biggest pub group in the Channel Islands has been named the Liberation Group.

And it has revealed the management team behind the buy-out.

Led by chief executive officer Mark Crowther the company recently acquired the drinks, pubs, and brewery divisions of Sandpiper CI in a deal estimated to be worth more than £60 million.

The group therefore now owns both the Jersey and Tipsy Toad breweries, drinks wholesalers Victor Hugo Wines in Jersey and Bucktrout & Co in Guernsey, and 65 pubs and bars across the CI.
