JERSEY students have achieved the highest overall grades worldwide in recent examinations for accountants and trust practitioners.
Andrew Hacquoil, who is a staff member on the trainee scheme at the States Treasury, was awarded the highest mark worldwide when he sat Paper F9 of the ACCA exams. He received a cash prize and a certificate of merit.
Carla Channing, a manager for trust company business at the Jersey Financial Services Commission, has won the Rank Xerox prize for the best paper at the November sitting of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators financial accounting exams.
At the February sitting Naomi Walker, who is employed at law firm Ogiers, gained the award for the highest mark in the ICSA Diploma in offshore finance and administration for the offshore trust and company administration paper.
Andrena Ball, who works at Royal Bank of Canada CI, won the award for the highest mark in the portfolio management paper of the ICSA Diploma in offshore finance.
Ms Channing studied with Onestudy Training, and the three other prizewinners studied with BPP Professional Education.
