Services beside the sea

00573368_cropped.jpg00573368_cropped.jpgISLANDERS gathered in the sunshine at Grève de Lecq last Sunday for the annual blessing of the boats.

The Sea Sunday celebrations started at 10.30 am with a service by St Ouen Rector the Rev John Harkin.

At 3 pm that afternoon, it was St John’s turn as a small service was held at Bonne Nuit.

The aim of the services is to ask God to watch over those people who make a living working at sea.
