Andrews is top golfer for June

00574878_cropped.jpgLES MIELLES Golf Club lady captain Rachel Andrews is the JEP/Itex June Golfer of the Month.

Andrews won both the Jersey and Channel Islands Bronze Division titles on away courses at La Moye and L’Ancresse in Guernsey respectively which is a tremendous feat. In the process the Les Mielles golfer reduced her handicap to 20 which means she now moves up to play in the Silver Division category.

Andrews, who was thrilled when told of her success, said: ‘I’m very happy; it’s been a good second year as Captain of the ladies’ section.

‘Many of the ladies here worked hard on their short games with Lynne Cummins over the last winter and we have all benefitted; as proved by this achievement.’
