Coffee time in Bath Street

Sandpiper CI won the franchise to operate Costa, which is the UK’s largest coffee shop chain, in the Channel Islands and chose to open it in the street-front area of their Checkers Xpress outlet.

Sandpiper CI chief executive Tony O’Neill said: ‘We looked closely at the services provided to shoppers when we took over the business last year. When we looked at the store we basically thought it was too big for the level of trade it was doing, as there was a lot of space not being effectively utilised.’

Carla Faria (pictured) has been appointed Costa Coffee section manager and Catherine Goldsmith has moved from Checkers Five Oaks to be store manager of Checkers Bath Street.
