Grand show at Bisley

0090482_cropped.jpgJERSEY marksman Andrew Le Cheminant leads the Island contingent in the Grand Aggregate at the prestigious Bisley meeting, despite difficult conditions.

Recognised as a potential fullbore rifle contender for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Dehli, he again showed his class while many excellent shooters from all around the world struggled.

The fishtailing winds once again caused problems, with Richard Benest having a shot blown off target in the Corporation shoot, but Le Cheminant (pictured) managed to finish the day relatively unharmed, scoring an impressive 47 while other established Bisley shots came off with scores of 41 and below.

Colin Mallett, a former Commonwealth champion, also faired well in the tough conditions, reading the wind changes well and shooting quickly to avoid being caught out by a wind change.
