Island bands – as seen on TV

00433026_2_cropped.jpgBANDS with connections to Jersey have been given the chance to be seen by thousands of people online, thanks to the work of a London-based Jersey record producer.

Grammy-nominated Andy Chatterley, the husband of Jersey’s singing and songwriting star Nerina Pallot (pictured), runs an internet television company which showcases up-and-coming bands on the web for free.

Since it launched, Live Room TV has grown rapidly in popularity and is now attracting more than 50,000 hits a month.

A number of the bands who have performed for the station – such as the Magic Numbers, We Are Scientists and Scouting For Girls – have gone on to achieve massive success. And Mr Chatterley is hoping that the same could be true of bands with Jersey connections.
