Cash helps JBV increase hours

00468559_cropped.jpgJERSEY Business Venture will now open from 9 am until 5 pm after gaining additional funding from the Economic Development Department.

JBV, who offer assistance and advice to those setting up a new venture or those already in business, received the increase at the start of the month.

It was brought in to cover the cost of a new full-time assistant which enables the office to open later and provide additional appointment times. Prior to receiving the funding, the office was only open on a walk-in basis from 9 am until 1 pm with appointments by arrangement outside of those hours.

JBV executive director Lydia Cook said: ‘It’s fantastic to receive this extra funding, which is an increase of 25 per cent, and means that we can be more proactive.
