Horwood leads Jersey’s Queen’s campaign at Bisley

brucehorwoodbisley08_cropped.jpgAS the British Open meeting at Bisley approaches its climax Jersey fullbore rifle shooters continue to impress.

And none more so than Jersey captain Bruce Horwood (pictured) who finished a superb eighth in the first stage of the revered Queen’s Prize shoot - just two V bulls behind the winner.

He conjured up a majestic 105, with 14 V bulls, to head a Jersey squad that produced a superb 13 qualifiers for the second stage – the majority of the Island’s elite squad of shooters.

The best of the rest were Andrew Le Cheminant, David Le Quesne and Alex Langley, who all recorded excellent scores of 104.
